GraceWay Church has transitioned to two worship services at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. We hope you’ll join us!
How did we get here? God has blessed us with many new people over the last five years. Because of that, there have been many Sundays when it can be hard to find a seat. In order to serve current as well as future church attenders, and after many months of discussion and prayer, the Elder Board made the decision to move forward with two services.
What does this look like?
Worship services will last 60 minutes and take place at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. There will be a half-hour fellowship time from 10-10:30 a.m. A variety of education opportunities will take place for all ages during both worship services. Frequently Asked Questions
When I come to church on September 7, where should I go?
If you are going to the 9:00 a.m. service you can go directly to the sanctuary. If you are attending a 9:00 a.m. class (all ages), plan to go directly to your classroom. For families with kids attending the 10:30 a.m. service, kids (age 3 to 2nd grade) will begin the service in the sanctuary and will be dismissed to their classrooms during the service. Adults attending a class during the second service will go to their classrooms at 10:30 a.m. Nursery is available throughout the morning for infants up to age 3.
What will change during the worship service to shorten the length?
The service will be shortened by cutting a few minutes from different sections, including announcements, prayer and the sermon. Since announcements will be limited, we encourage everyone to sign up for the weekly Happenings Email to stay connected with everything going on at GraceWay.
Is there a difference between the GraceWay Kids program offerings during the two services?
Yes! During the 9:00 a.m. service, kids in grades K-5 will continue to walk through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation using the Gospel Project curriculum. Preschool kids do play-based Bible stories. During the 10:30 a.m. service, kids classes use the The Bible App for Kids series. Click here to learn more about GraceWay Kids Sunday Programs.
What can I expect during the fellowship time?
GraceWay Church has a special culture of community. The fellowship time will provide the opportunity to stay connected with one another on Sunday mornings regardless of the service you attend. Fellowship time will take place from 10:00-10:30 in the foyer and gym/Fellowship Hall. Coffee will be served in both the foyer and gym. There will also be food and kids activities in the gym during this time. (Contact Pastor Scott if you are interested in joining the coffee or food team.) We ask that people spend this time in the foyer or gym and not other areas of the church.
We also ask that ministries refrain from scheduling meetings or other duties to protect this fellowship time. We desire that everyone is free and available to converse. Connect with friends! Greet new people!
Do you still need volunteers?
Yes! We encourage everyone to attend one service and serve during one service. Learn more about the opportunities to serve on Sunday mornings at GraceWay.
