Sunday School at GraceWay is for children age two – 6th grade. Children begin in the sanctuary with their families and are dismissed to class about 9:45 a.m. until after fellowship time (11:00 a.m.). Children begin Sunday School time together watching a video and learning about the morning’s lesson. They are then dismissed by age group for the rest of the lesson. Finally, we wrap up the Sunday School hour by coming back together for a time of singing and worship.
Sunday School Classes
- Ages 2 & 3 (this class does not join in large group time and children go straight to their classroom)
- Ages 4 & 5
- Kindergarten & 1st grade
- 2nd & 3rd grade
- 4th-6th grade
Classes for children in kindergarten through 6th grade are not held on communion Sundays (fourth Sunday of the month) so they may attend with their parents. If there is a 5th Sunday in the month, children learn a special lesson about missionaries and sharing God’s love around the world.
The curriculum used is called The Gospel Project®. It is a chronological, Christ-centered Bible study that examines how all Scripture gives testimony to Jesus Christ. Over the course of three years, kids journey from Genesis to Revelation and discover how God’s plan of redemption unfolds throughout Scripture.

The nursery (for children up to age three) is available during the worship service until after the fellowship time is done, about 11:00 a.m. Nursery workers are screened volunteers who are members of GraceWay or regular attendees. Our nursery has a variety of toys, a changing table and its own bathroom. Children in the nursery who are two years old can go to the 2-3 year old Sunday School class. Parents are asked to leave their cell phone numbers and are buzzed in case they are needed during the service.
