Current Studies

1 Peter – Finding Hope when Life Hurts
Tuesdays from 10:00-11:00 a.m. from January 31 – April 4.
Peter tells us that we have a great responsibility to suffer well so that others will see our hope and glorify God.

The only resource needed is your Bible. Sign up at the Happenings table so that a manuscript of 1 Peter is printed for you.

Living Life Backward – Book of Ecclesiastes
First Monday of each month from 6:30-8:00 p.m. (begins September 12)
What if it is death that teaches us how to truly live? Keeping the end in mind shapes how we live our lives in the here and now. Looking to the book of Ecclesiastes for wisdom, Living Life Backwards by David Gibson was written to shake up our expectations and priorities for what it means to live “the good life.” Considering the reality of death helps us pay attention to our limitations as human beings and receive life as a wondrous gift from God.

Participants are asked to buy their own book and should read chapter 1 by the first meeting. Sign-up at the Happenings table in the church foyer.
