Living Life Backward – Book of Ecclesiastes
First Monday of each month from 6:30-8:00 p.m. (begins September 12)
What if it is death that teaches us how to truly live? Keeping the end in mind shapes how we live our lives in the here and now. Looking to the book of Ecclesiastes for wisdom, Living Life Backwards by David Gibson was written to shake up our expectations and priorities for what it means to live “the good life.” Considering the reality of death helps us pay attention to our limitations as human beings and receive life as a wondrous gift from God.
Participants are asked to buy their own book and should read chapter 1 by the first meeting. Sign-up at the Happenings table in the church foyer.
Calm My Anxious Heart
Tuesdays beginning September 20 from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
This 12-week study is based on the book, Calm My Anxious Heart, by Linda Dillow. Fear and anxiety tend to creep into all areas of women’s lives. We worry about our children, our friends, our careers, our families, our spouses―and the list goes on. Filled with solid encouragement and practical help for soothing and processing anxiety, this book offers meaningful and helpful ways to refresh your spirit with Scripture and calming insight.
Participants are asked to buy their own book. Sign-up at the Happenings table in the church foyer.
