Empowering Leadership: We are committed to training believers to become leaders who model the character and priorities of Christ and who are entrusted to assume leadership within their ministry role. (Exodus 18:19-26)
Gift-Oriented Ministry: We believe that all Christians should minister according to their God-given spiritual gifts in order to experience the most effectiveness, joyfulness, and fulfillment in their service for Christ. We will help our people discover, develop and utilize their spiritual gifts to their fullest potential. (I Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4:11-13; I Peter 4:10)
Genuine Spirituality (Passionate Spirituality): We believe that only genuine spirituality (as opposed to a form of godliness without power – 2 Timothy 3:5) will be blessed by God to build up believers and attract pre-Christians. Genuine spirituality is rooted in Scripture, established through a vital relationship with the Holy Spirit and expressed through obedience, transparency, and enthusiasm – on Sunday and every day. (I John 5:3)
Purpose-Driven Ministry (Functional Structures): We strive to consistently create ministries, programs, organizational structures, and budgets that most effectively fulfill our Biblical mission to multiply followers of Christ and are in line with our ministry values. This also assumes a willingness to modify any of these that may be hindering our purposes. (Matthew 28:19-20; John 17:4)
Inspiring Worship: Public worship, which flows out of our private worship, honors God, engages the heart, mind, and emotions and inspires people to daily follow Christ. (Colossians 3:15-17)
Holistic Small Groups: Believing that genuine life change happens most effectively in a small group setting, we develop leaders and apprentices to lead a wide range of small groups with varying purposes and levels of commitment. (Mark 3:13-14)
Need-Oriented Evangelism: We believe that Jesus came to seek and to save lost people. Therefore, we are driven to reach our neighborhoods, our nation, and our world with the gospel of Jesus Christ, regardless of racial, economic, or political barriers. (Luke 19:9-10; I Timothy 2:4, 1 Thessalonians 4:13)
Loving Relationships: Loving relationships produce unity and appropriate accountability within our congregation, motivating and enabling our church to care for people with various needs, and when necessary, Biblically manage conflict. Further, practical love has a divinely generated power far more effective in evangelism than programs depending on verbal communication alone. (John 13:35; 17:20-23)
